Asian Hall of Fame unveils new inductees

Asian Hall of Fame

Last month, the Asian Hall of Fame announced its 2021 inductees in a video released on Youtube and their website. The full list of inductees includes Steve Aoki, Hon. Tani Cantil-Sakauye, Phil Chen, Ren Hanami, Ken Jeong, Sumi Jo, Nancy Kwan, Brandon Lee, Dr. Linda Liau, and Indra Nooyi, the first inductee of Indian descent. The group will be celebrated virtually during a Zoom dinner and ceremony on November 13. Tickets are available on the Asian Hall of Fame website.

The Asian Hall of Fame was created by the Robert Chinn Foundation in 2004, in honor of Robert Chinn, who became the first Asian bank owner in the U.S. in 1960. The goal of the Foundation is to recognize and uplift Asians, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders who may normally go less noticed by the public eye due to both racial and gender biases.
