Quincy Asian Resources Inc. (QARI) celebrated its new North Quincy location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Feb. 26. About 30 guests attended the celebration at the converted bank branch, now serving as a community center.

“We wanted to develop a space in the epicenter of North Quincy,” said QARI executive director Philip Chong. “We offer elder services, English instruction, youth services and free tai chi.”

The North Quincy location was in a smaller ground floor space, across from North Quincy High School, for youth programming. Its upstairs location was formerly a South Shore Bank branch.
