Stuart Street Closed this Weekend

City of Boston Traffic Advisory

The Boston Transportation Department is advising drivers and pedestrians alike that Stuart Street, between Berkeley and Arlington Streets, will be closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic this weekend for the purpose of erecting a pedestrian bridge at the Liberty Mutual construction site.  The street will be closed beginning on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 8 PM and will not reopen until Sunday, May, 6, 2012 at 3 PM.

The designated detour route will be Stuart Street, turn left onto Berkeley Street, turn right onto St. James Avenue, and turn right onto Arlington Street to get back onto Stuart Street.  Those heading into this area over the weekend are encouraged to use the MBTA.

Committee on City and Neighborhood Services holds hearing for rodent control and illegal dumping in City of Boston

On September 22, the Boston City Council referred the Committee on City and Neighborhood Services to hold a virtual hearing for Docket #0935 on the subject of pest control and illegal dumping of trash in the City. The hearing was facilitated and sponsored by Councilors Ed Flynn and Liz Breaden.
