The Malden Board of Health has received a report that West Nile Virus has been detected in mosquitoes collected from a mosquito pool in the area of Lynn Street and U.S. Route One, Malden. This result was gathered from a test sample of 121 mosquitoes collected on August 8, 2013.
The Boston Public Health Commission yesterday announced another confirmed human case of West Nile Virus (WNV) this year. The case, an East Boston resident in his 40’s, was hospitalized but has been released.
