The “Why We Can’t Wait for Housing” mayoral forum took place August 6 at the Josiah Quincy School. Seven of the 12 mayoral candidates attended.
The Boston Chinatown Resident Association and the Governor’s Asian American Commission continued the second and third Chinatown mayoral candidate forums at the Josiah Quincy School. Felix Arroyo, Boston city councilor at-large, discussed his plans for Boston on July 10. On July 24, former state rep. Charlotte Golar Richie and John Barros spoke to the community.
Nine of Boston’s 12 mayoral candidates discussed ways to make Boston greener at a forum on July 9 at Suffolk University. The event was organized by the Coalition of Energy, Environmental, Transportation and Innovation Groups.
The Josiah Quincy Elementary School students celebrated the Year of the Snake on March 1, after Winter Storm Nemo postponed the event originally planned for Feb. 14.
Civil rights leader Martin Luther King was honored with poems, dances and live music at the 26th memorial luncheon Jan. 11 at the Massachusetts Statehouse.
