ABCD Head Start Rally on May 31 canceled due to hot weather forecast

ABCD President/CEO John J. Drew announced today that ABCD is forced to cancel its celebration/rally for the Head Start program scheduled for this Friday, May 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on the Boston Common due to the extremely high temperatures and humidity forecast by the national weather service.

ABCD celebrates 50 years of success

The Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) 50th Anniversary Gala took place at the Boston Marriott Copley Place on Nov. 2. More than 1,200 supporters turned out for a night of live jazz.

Legendary six-time Grammy award winner Natalie Cole delivered a fabulous performance at the gala. Her heartwarming melodies included “Unforgettable,” “Autumn Leaves” and other stirring favorites.
