Councilor Hennigan Meets NY Councilor John C. Liu

Boston City Councilor At-Large Maura Hennigan met with New York City Councilor John C. Liu on July 28 at the Park Plaza Hotel to discuss the problem of stray voltage in the two cities.

This winter, Boston and New York City both faced dangerous stray electricity that hurt pet dogs and in some cases, people. In Boston¡¦s Chinatown, a dog was shocked by stray electrical current while its owner took it for a walk. In New York a woman was killed from stray electricity. Hennigan held a council hearing this winter to tackle the problem.
