Quincy Democratic City Committee Caucus 2018

Quincy – The Quincy Democratic City Committee (QDCC) will hold the Quincy Democratic caucuses to
determine delegates and alternate delegates to the 2018 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention.

The date of the caucus is Saturday, February 10, 2018. Doors will open at 9:30AM and the Caucuses will
start at 10:00AM in the Quincy High School Cafeteria, 100 Coddington Street, Quincy. All Wards; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
& 6 will be holding there caucuses at this location.

This year’s state convention where thousands of Democrats from across the state will gather, will endorse
Democratic candidates for statewide office, including Constitutional Officers and Gubernatorial candidates.

Eligible pre-registered Democrats are allowed to participate in Democratic Caucuses. Seventeen year olds
who pre-register to vote and who will be age 18 by September 18, 2018 will be allowed to participate.

Such a person may participate equally with all other Democrats, as a voting caucus participant or candidate for
delegate or alternate. Any resident of the ward may register to vote as a Democrat and participate in the
caucus. Same day registration will be available at the caucus.

Any person not shown on the party registration list must either provide proof of Democratic Party registration or
pre-registration or register prior to the close of the caucus registration period.

Any registered Democrat that does not get elected as a delegate or an alternate delegate and who meets the
qualifications may apply to be an add-on delegate in the following categories: youth (between 18 & 35 years of
age), minorities, people with disabilities and LGBTQ individuals.

This year’s Massachusetts Democratic State Convention will be held on Friday, June 1 st and Saturday, June 2 nd
at the DCU Center, Worcester, MA.
