Boston Chinatown District 2 candidate forum on Sept. 13

The Boston Chinatown Resident Association will host a Boston City Council District 2 Candidate Forum onWednesday, September 13, at the Josiah Quincy School Auditorium. A meet-and-greet with candidates will preceded the event at 6:00pm, and the forum will begin promptly at 6:30pm.

The candidate forum, which will be moderated by Chu Huang of the Chinatown Resident Association and Paul Watanabe of the Institute for Asian American Studies, will include constituent questions on housing and gentrification, zoning and development, economic development and jobs, public safety, immigrant rights, and language access.

Co-sponsors of the forum include Asian Pacific Islander Civic Action Network, Asian American Civic Association, Asian Community Development Corporation, Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, Castle Square Tenants Organization, Chinese Progressive Association, Mass Pike Powers Tenant Association, Tai Tung Village Tenant Association.
