Chinatown crime blotter for April 22 to May 5

All reports are submitted by the Boston Police Department. The time period is from April 22 to May 5 for District A-1, which includes Chinatown.

Assault & battery

April 22, 6:50 p.m.: The victim reported while driving on Washington Street, an unknown intoxicated male began assaulting him through his driver’s window. The victim drove off and drove to the police station.


Assault & battery

April 25, 2:30 a.m.: The victim reported he left his hotel room and the next thing he remembered was waking up in the hospital. The EMTs had picked him up around 2:30 a.m. at the corner of LaGrange Street and Tamworth Street. He suffered a broken jaw and fractured cheek bone. The incident is to be furthered investigated by the district detectives.


Assault & battery

April 25, 10:27 p.m.: The victim reported an unknown male entered the coffee shop on Washington Street and started to bother the customers. When the victim asked the suspect to leave, he spit in her face. The suspect fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival.



April 26, 9:11 p.m.: The victim reported an unknown person smashed the window on her motor vehicle that was parked and locked on Harrison Avenue.



April 29, 6:52 p.m.: The suspect was arrested on Washington Street for selling drugs to a female suspect.


Attempted robbery

April 29, 10:10 p.m.: The victim reported the suspect entered the store on Washington Street, stated he had a gun and demanded money from cash register. The victim refused to hand over any cash. The suspect fled out of the store, heading inbound on Washington Street.


Larceny from building

May 1, 7:52 p.m.: The victim reported while moving out of her apartment on Washington Street, an unknown person stole several items out of her apartment.


Violation of automobile law

May 2, 12:17 a.m.: The suspect will be summonsed into court for driving his motor vehicle on Edinboro Street with a revoked registration.


Warrant arrest

May 2, 1:30 a.m.: The suspect was arrested on Essex Street on an outstanding warrant issued out of Quincy District Court.



May 4, 1:33 a.m.: The two suspects will be summonsed in for trespassing inside of the playground located at 885 Washington Street.
