Chinatown crime for April 7 to 21

All reports are submitted by the Boston Police Department. The time period is from April 7 to April 21 for District A-1, which includes Chinatown.

To report a crime or suspicious activity, call 911. Interpreters are available for Chinese speakers.


Warrant arrest

April 7, 9:31 a.m.: The suspect was arrested on Boylston Street on an outstanding warrant issued out of Boston Municipal Court.


Breaking & entering

April 9, 7:48 p.m.: The victim reported an unknown person broke into her business located on Edinboro Street and removed cash from the register. The incident was captured on the surveillance camera.



April 10, 1 p.m.: The victim reported an unknown person put glue in his business pad locks. The business is located on Harrison Avenue.



April 11, 5 p.m.: The victim reported an unknown person vandalized her motor vehicle that was parked and locked on Johnny Court.



April 13, 12:40 a.m.:   The officers responded to 660 Washington Street on a report of three individuals trespassing inside of the garage. Upon arrival, the officers observed the three individuals inside the garage. One of the suspects had warrants. He was placed under arrest and transported to the district. The other two will be summonsed into court.


Aggravated assault

April 15, 2:25 a.m.: The victim reported he was walking in Chinatown and he was stabbed by an unknown male. The victim suffered multiple stab wounds and was in stable condition. The victim had gone to Boston Medical Center on his own.



April 15, 8:47 a.m.: The victim reported someone had drawn a swastika on the outside dusty window. The district detectives processed the scene and will investigate the incident further.



April 15, 5:37 p.m.: The victim reported he placed his bag on the ground on Hudson Street. When he turned around, he noticed the bag was missing.



April 16, 9:41 a.m.: The officers responded to Oxford Street on a threat report. Upon arrival, the officers met and spoke with the victim. She stated she was threatened by her neighbor. The officers spoke with neighbor and restored the peace.


Assault & battery

April 19, 10:38 p.m.: The officers responded to Tufts Medical Center on a report of an assault that took place inside the emergency room. The victim reports he was assaulted by a member of the staff. The victim would not give any further information. He was escorted off the premises.
