Together Empowering Asian Minds (TEAM) is pleased to announce the winners in its Video Open Call, which was part of a national campaign to raise awareness of the cultural challenges that influence how mental health is perceived in the Asian American and Pacific Islander community.
Winner in the Personal Story category:

Winner in the Public Service Announcement category:
Mental Wellness PSA, submitted by the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center’s Teen Resource Center.
Winner in the Video Essay category:
Tired Dragon Lady, submitted by Lily Luo.
The winners in each category will receive:
an invitation to attend the Spring Screening event on Thursday, April 6th in Boston
a philosophy skin-care gift basket worth $220
automatic acceptance in the 2017 BAAFF contest and possible broadcast on WGBH WORLD.
TEAM thanks all of the Open Call participants and encourages continued sharing of all the videos to promote discussion of AAPI mental health issues.
TEAM is a peer-led, Massachusetts-based coalition formed in 2010 to address the urgent and unique mental health challenges faced by the AAPI community and their loved ones. TEAM received a grant from the hope & grace fund, a project of New Venture Fund in partnership with philosophy, inc.
