The Boston Chinatown Lions Club Annual Charity Ball took place Jan. 18 at the China Pearl.
Lions Club has aided the blind and visually impaired and makes a strong commitment to community service and serving youth throughout the world.
Each year, Boston Chinatown Lions Club has a fundraising event. The fund will dedicate to Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund Incorporation and need to the community.
Lions clubs around the world sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in local schools and youth groups. This contest encourages young people worldwide to artistically express their visions of peace.
This year, on behalf of Boston Chinatown Lions Club, Yu Ying Li, Age 13, Grade 8, Student from Kwong Kow School’s won the 33K district, Peace Poster Competition, the theme is “Children Know Peace.” She will receive the award at Lions Club 33K Mid-Winter Conference on Feb 15, 2014.
