Recently, 30 principals from seven different provinces in China spent the day at Boston Renaissance Charter Public School. They observed the board of trustees meeting in the evening. They were interested in seeing first-hand how students with diverse needs are being taught in the United States and the governance of independent public schools.
The principals voiced their appreciation for the school’s efforts to offer Chinese language and culture in America. They expressed interest in future collaborative partnerships, as well as student and staff exchange programs as an effort to ensure peace and prosperity for future generations. More than 500 Renaissance students are presently learning Mandarin and the value of international partnerships.
