“Linsanity” started filming in 2010, while Jeremy Lin was still a relatively unknown basketball player at Harvard University, and chronicles his ups and downs culminating in a record-breaking string of games in February 2012 creating the pop culture phenomenon known as “Linsanity”; where the world was watching one of the most remarkable underdog stories ever to unfold in the history of sports.
Jeremy Lin came from a humble background to make an unbelievable run in the NBA. State high school champion, all-Ivy League at Harvard, undrafted by the NBA and unwanted there: his story started long before he landed on Broadway.
This film documents Jeremy’s life for several years, capturing never-before-seen footage of him at the highest and lowest points in his basketball career and exclusive interviews from friends and family. Linsanity: the Movie presents an intimate portrayal of a rising hero fighting unbeatable odds.
The film was a 2013 Sundance Film Festival Official Selection and it made its theatrical debut nationwide on October 4thand now has expanded to Boston this weekend.
