Somerville resident brings the Renaissance to Norwich
Local actor plays an important role at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire
“We hand picked some of the best actors New England has to offer to play a variety of roles ranging from townspeople to nobility,” said Stickney who is also co-directing the performance with his brother David. “They have gone through rigorous training to become a believable character from the 16th century.”
To prepare for their roles, actors received five weekends of tuition-free professional training in Renaissance history, stage combat, dialect, voice, character development, public interaction, and more as required by their role.
Guests of the Connecticut Renaissance Faire are encouraged to dress for the outdoors, but aren’t required to dress in costumes to come out and enjoy a day filled with continuous entertainment, shopping, food, and drinks. There is something for everyone at the Faire.
