Chinese pianist Lang Lang to perform with the Boston Symphony Orchestra Feb 28-March 2

The sensational Chinese pianist Lang Lang will make his Boston Symphony Orchestra series debut playing Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2. Concerts take place on Thursday, February 28 at 8pm, Friday, March 1 at 8pm, and Saturday, March 2 at 8pm.

Two works tied to the history of the Boston Symphony Orchestra bookend the program: Hindemith’s Konzertmusik for Strings and Brass, and Bartók’s ingeniously kaleidoscopic Concerto for Orchestra.
