Chinatown crime blotter Jan. 18 to Feb. 4

All reports are submitted by the Boston Police Department. The time period is from Jan. 18 to Feb. 4 for District A1 or Chinatown.

  • Drugs

Jan. 19, 1:36 a.m.: The suspect was arrested on Washington Street on a drug offense. Members of the citywide drug control unit observed the suspect with what appeared to be cocaine on his person.

  • Armed robbery

Jan. 19, 2:46 a.m.: The officers responded to Tremont Street on a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival the officers met and spoke with the victim. He stated he was robbed at gunpoint by an unknown black male. The suspect took money and fled in an unknown direction. The incident is to be further investigated by the District A1 detectives.

  • Assault and battery on a police officer

Jan. 19, 2:32 a.m.: The officers responded to Essex Street to assist a unit on a traffic stop. Upon arrival, the officers observed four males sitting on ground being questioned about a previous incident. When the officer approached one of the suspects, he turned around and spit on the officer’s leg. The suspect placed under arrest for assault and battery on a police officer.

  • Investigate person

Jan. 20, 8:28 p.m.: The officers responded to Washington Street on a report of a group with a gun. An unknown caller had reported that the suspect had placed the gun up against the school. The area was searched and no weapon found.

  • Breaking and entering

Jan. 25, 7:51 p.m.: The victims report that unknown person broke into their apartment located on Hudson Street and removed several items.

  • Drugs

Jan. 25, 7 p.m.: The two suspects were arrested on Washington Street by members of the District A-1 drug control unit. They were observed engaged in a drug transaction.

  • Drugs

Jan. 26, 1:23 p.m.: The suspect was arrested on Oxford Place on a drug offense. The officers observed him sitting on a flight of stairs with two small baggies believed to be crack cocaine.

  • Drugs

Jan. 29, 10:04 p.m.: The two suspects were arrested on Washington Street by the District A-1 drug control unit. They were observed by the unit engaged in a drug transaction.

  • Assault and battery

Jan. 29, 12:56 a.m.: The officers responded to Washington Street on a report of an assault and battery. Upon arrival the officers met and spoke with the victim’s nurses at the hospital. They report the suspect, a patient at the hospital, spit in their faces. The suspect has psychological issues. He was treated and released.
